What We Do

Quay Civil have the personnel and resources to undertake project management and delivery of ‘Design & Construct’ as well as ‘Construct Only’ projects for the water, wastewater, and utilities industries.

Primarily our projects include Reservoirs, Pump Stations, Sewerage Treatment Plants, Water Treatment Plants, and Civil Upgrade Works in Electrical Substations, and we pride ourselves on our turn-key service delivery which includes management of waste, including hazardous waste, from sites, site landscaping and fencing, and project commissioning.

We have the ability to self-perform our works, as well as the capability to manage subcontracts on multi- disciplinary projects.

Water & Wastewater

Quay Civil has over 30 years’ experience delivering major structure builds within water and sewer treatment plants, pump stations, pipework and reticulation systems and stabilisation works.

We deliver Principal Contracts from design through construction to commissioning, as well as subcontract works for some of Australia’s largest construction companies. We have delivered reinforced water retaining structures up to 4ML, pump stations up to 18m diameter and up to 20m deep, detailed bulk earthworks, stormwater and culverts up to 2400mm, mechanical and electrical installation works.

Design & Construct

Quay Civil work closely with our civil, structural, mechanical and process engineers to create solutions that deliver higher than expectation. A project is not complete until it has achieved our expected design outcome successfully. We manage detailed design of service and structure, as well as multiple temporary works designs, including our in-house built formwork shutter systems for circular water retaining tanks which deliver solutions for tanks and wells up to 32m diameter.

Excavation

Excavation is a core element in almost every scope of works in civil construction, and Quay Civil have the capability and experience to deliver large scale excavations. We work closely with our geotechnical engineers to take on even the most complex excavation requirements, such as within a steep river embankment, or blind, underwater.

Electrical Upgrades

With proven experience performing civil upgrade works for various clients, Quay Civil employ the same project principals to deliver works in Electrical Substations. Able to undertake Principal Contracts, as well as subcontract works, we have delivered substation bench extensions, substation augmentation and extensions to enable BESS (battery emergency storage systems), civil works to facilitate connection into TransGrid networks, as well as multiple substation upgrades throughout NSW.
